Hearts & Hands Disaster Recovery (HHDR) relys on the help of local residents to become volunteers. There are multiple ways to be involved and give your time. HHDR recruits adult volunteers (18+) to do mold remediation and muck outs. Our main focus is mold remediation, but some homes still require extra hands to help with the mucking out. HHDR volunteers are provided with all safety equipment and training necessary to do mold remediation. Volunteers are deployed to do work on homes in New Jersey that were flooded during Superstorm Sandy. All work days are scheduled in advance and only on weekends. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with HHDR please fill out the Volunteer Form.
HHDR is happy to work with volunteer groups traveling to the New Jersey area to do Superstorm Sandy relief work. If your group is looking to work in NJ please fill out the Volunteer Form. HHDR does not provide volunteer housing or transportation but we can assist your group with finding those resources in the area. For more information about how your group can work with HHDR please contact us.
